Creating a Firewise Landscape: Lean, Clean, Green

Discover a fire-resistant landscape without starting from scratch. Follow the lean, clean, and green principles:

Lean Landscape: Space between plants and non-combustible pathways reduce fire risk. Choose moisture-retaining, slow-growth plants like natives, succulents, and Mediterranean varieties.

Clean Landscape: Remove debris, thin trees, and clear undergrowth to minimize fire fuel.

Green Landscape: Well-irrigated plants enhance fire resilience. Maintain irrigation systems, use compost and mulch for soil moisture.
